Versatile Blogger Award: Accepted!

Versatile Bloggerversatile (adjective) – changing or fluctuating readily; embracing a variety of subjects, fields or skills; turning with ease from one thing to another

A hearty thank you to Mrs. Spike for nominating me for the Versatile Blogger Award! As a classically trained pianist with a mind for computer programming, she is the definition of versatile, and I am honored to be counted in her company. If you’re not familiar with Mrs. Spike, check out her blog! She is an inspirational INFJ whose writing is raw, authentic, poignant and tinged with hope.

7 Facts About Me (that display my versatility!):

  1. I have an engineering degree and work for a major oil company.
  2. While working full time, I am also attending school part time. I am currently taking 9 hours’ worth of classes toward a second Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design.
  3. I am a singer/songwriter and released my first album of original songs on iTunes in 2013.
  4. I just finished writing and illustrating a children’s book.

  6. I am an ardent Christian who has volunteered on mission trips in many third world countries, including South Sudan and the Dominican Republic.
  7. I am an introvert who loves public speaking. In fact, I think someday I may become an inspirational women’s speaker.

  1. Congratulations Auhora!! Of any blogger out there you deserve this award. Love how you put the definition of what “versitle” means! 🙂

How are you going to use graphics design with engineering?

Really? You’re a singer/songwriter??!! That’s something new that I didn’t know about you! Pretty darn cool! If you’d be willing, I would love for you to send me a link to your album if you’d be willing or you can see my email address and sent it to me that way. In any way, I would love to check it out!

Been to 50 states!!! That’s a lot! I’ve only been to 7 states in all.

I’ll have to check out Mrs. Spikes blog.

    • Thanks, Steve! I’m pretty honored to be nominated. In response to your questions, I’m actually not planning to use my GD degree with engineering… but keep that on the DL 😉 For sure check out Mrs. Spike’s blog. She’s a neat woman who I’d love to be friends with for realz and not just in the blogger world!

      • Yes, I was quite honored to be nominated for The Liebster Award yesterday and I was going to nominate you but then I saw that you already got it! 🙂 Probably should’ve done a sad face instead. 😉 So congrats on getting that award as well.

Lol! Yeah, just keep on racking up those degrees, right? I’ve heard a couple of people who just love to learn and they keep on getting more and more degrees. I do see that they love to learn but I would just want to do the job! I plan on getting a degree in Cognitive Science (the research aspect of psychology) over Psychology because I think I would get quite irritable if people didn’t take my advice and they would drag it on and on. Plus, I like to be the guy in the back scene helping psychologists out! What would be a good degree to back this degree up? I want to have a back-up! Maybe Criminology? Maybe a fashion designer just to do something totally different! 😛

Yes, I already followed her and she’s followed me! She seems like a great person and we’ve already had conversations with each other. Personally, and I’m not just meaning with her but my favorite personality that I can’t find any major weaknesses with is INFJ. According to the 16Personalities website, what might be considered a weakness for them are: “sensitive, extremely private, perfectionist, always need to have a cause, and can burn out easily.” Too bad they are estimated as the rarest of all of the personalities. 😦

  2. Umm..you are super cool. Justttt sayin!! Thank you for this, how fun.

Ok sooo…here we go…7 randoms about me.

    1. My arms are double jointed, and one of them dislocates really easily. It sucks!
    2. I have zero self control around pretty cupcakes and cookies. Zero.
    3. I’m going back to school, but I’m hating every minute of it and don’t know if I will continue after this class….until maybe later. Oye.
    4.I don’t like babies.
    5. I also don’t like puppies.
    6. I clearly have no soul.
    7. Chocolate chips + dates….so good. Just had way too many.

  3. I’ve been to most states but not all 50 and I have never left North America, unless you count Bahamas, which I don’t because I could almost swim there from Florida. I would love to buy your album on Itunes. Just let me know how.

    • Haha, you must swim better than I do! My swimming is a mix between freestyle and dog-paddle. I would be honored to have you listen to my album on iTunes. I just sent you a FB message with the info!

      • I am working on my swimming with my boy. We go every week. Not to the Bahamas, but the local pool. I think by next year, we will be able to get to deep end! I won’t just be listening to your album, but actually buying it. The first album on Itunes of a famous person I actually know! Can you autograph my MP3 files?

    • Ah! I didn’t realize that about you! Have you posted any of your work anywhere? I would LOVE to see it! I’m encouraged to know that you’ve already finished your degree and still love it. I was afraid some of the joy might get sucked out of it if I had to do it for a paycheck. 🙂

      • I have some very old stuff posted online, things I’m not exactly proud of anymore haha. If I get around to posting some more recent stuff, I’ll send you the link. I’ve always loved art, so getting to do something creative for work is so enjoyable for me. I hope you enjoy all of your classes 🙂
