Surprise! I’m leaving for Paris today!
I typically plan vacations months in advance, but this is a bit of a whirlwind trip for me – the spontaneous decision to go along with a teacher friend who is using her summer break to backpack through Europe. I will just be joining Rachel for the first part of her trip (France!) before heading home, leaving her to explore Germany and Great Britain on her own.
To get myself in the mood for La Ville Lumière, I have been doing some fashion sketches incorporating the architecture of quintessential Paris. Check out my Instagram @auroraroschen for more!

Have fun in Paris! Oddly enough, I just watched “An American in Paris” the other night. J.

Genial! I’ve been thinking watching a few Paris-based movies would also be good trip prep.

I assume you will be going to see all the Harry Potter Castles, etc. Have fun there!

Thanks! If I were going with Ashley, we would definitely do all things Harry Potter! But Rachel and I are going to stick with the classics: Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Versailles, etc. Getting excited! Hope your (two) vacation(s) were awesome!

I’m glad you’re not doing anything Harry Potter related without me. My spirit would be crushed. Just wait until 07/31!!!!

YES! Midnight release party!!! Just yesterday, someone asked me if I wanted to go see Fantastic Beasts in November. Firstly, I was impressed that someone (a Millennial, no less!) was planning five months in advance. Secondly, I was disappointed that they are not hardcore enough to want to go opening night. Thirdly, I had to tell them that you and I will be going (to yet another HP midnight release!) for your birthday. I might also possibly be in costume. Unless you would be embarrassed of me. Which is entirely possible. And not necessarily anything new. 😉
